Art at Home
March 13th.
Happy Friday the 13th!
I have sent home a packet of art lessons for each grade that is for the next three weeks. I will update this page with more lessons if the situation changes. There are pdfs of the packet on this page.
Part of your lessons are to watch some videos and make an art project of your choice.
For grades Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd, you can choose a Mati and Dada video. (You can find them on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCR2NlUr0yPuqRxZN_7ItHog) Learn about an artist and then make a piece of art inspired by their work. You can make a drawing, painting, collage, photography, sculpture, or build something out of things you find at home. Send me a picture of your work! chawthorne@hr-k12.org
For grades 3-6th, I want you to visit one of my favorite websites: The Kids Should See This: https://thekidshouldseethis.com/ Choose any video in the art section and make a piece of art in response to what you have learned. Your art can be trying a new technique that you learn about, it can be a drawing about what you have seen, you can build something inspired by another artist, you can create something outside, or you can take a photo or make a video! I will be adding some videos next week about how to use everyday objects at home to make art, like painting with coffee, or making homemade clay dough.
Send me photos of your work! I miss all of you.
